Steelrising is an action role-playing video game developed by Spiders (the studio behind Greedfall and The Technomancer) and published by Nacon. It is set in an alternate version of the French Revolution, in 18th-century Paris, where King Louis XVI has created an army of clockwork automatons called “Automats” to rule with a literal iron fist through fear. You play as Aegis, an Automat bodyguard of Marie Antoinette’s, on a quest to find her surviving children and uncover the truth behind Louis’s actions.
